Woodhall Primary School is a two-form entry school for boys and girls from 4-11 years of age. The school is part of the Samuel Ward Academy Trust.
We have a published admission number (PAN) of 60 for entry in Reception. We will admit this number of children to Reception each year if there are sufficient applications. Where fewer applicants than the published admission number are received, we will offer places to all those who have applied. If we are oversubscribed, after the admission of children with an Education Health Care Plan naming Woodhall Primary School, priority for admission will be given to those children who meet the criteria set out below, in priority order:
As an academy we decide our admissions criteria, however, Suffolk County Council co-ordinates all normal year of entry admissions and will communicate all admission decisions to parents.
Further details of the admissions procedure can be found in our Admissions Arrangements document below and on Suffolk County Council's website:
For children wanting to join the school during an academic year, an in-year application, these should be made directly to the school, so please contact our school office on 01787 373661. When submitting an in-year application please bring with you the following:
There are different arrangements for children wanting to join our nursery.
Our nursery takes children from 3 years of age and has a PAN of 39. If oversubscribed, we use the same criteria as above. We accept children's names for the nursery waiting list from their second birthday. We cannot guarantee you a place, but we do try to offer all children at least three terms in the nursery before entry to our school.
We offer children a morning only nursery placement or an afternoon only placement.
If you would like to apply for a place please come to the school office at any time during school hours.
